Effectively Update Your Page
We use a content management system which allows you to easily update your page the way you want it, when you want it. We use a system that looks very close to Microsoft Word 2003. A lot of our formatting options look, work, and feel the same.
This button allows for full screen viewing, more like Microsoft Word. Some people prefer it for it allows them to edit better.
This button allows you to preview your page with out the built in behind theme. It gives you different resolution choices, the most commonly viewed resolution is 1024 by 768.
This button allows you to search for a word in your content, it also has the ability to replace. For instance if you wrote mr. g a bunch of places on your page, but you wanted it to say Mr. G
then you can use the find and replace tool.
This button will copy a word document into your content page, it works ok, but please note, images in a Microsoft Word document will not carry over to your content.
This button allows you to undo any change you did, similar to the Control Z feature built into Windows.
This button allows you to redo anything you un-did, similar to the Control Y feature built into Windows.
This button simply allows you to change the font color.
This button simply allows you to fill in the "paint" color behind the text.
This button is also known as an Anchor, or a Bookmark. You can insert a bookmark at the top of the page. If your page is long you can insert a link to the bookmark. So I can make a link called top, and when you click it, it will bring you to the top. Try it here: Top
This is where you can link to a page outside of STJ, for instance your blog, or your personnel website. To find out how to use this click here
This button allows you to place images in your content, it does not allow you to directly upload. You can use a 3rd party hosting server, are you can upload directly to our servers. To find out more about this click here
This button allows you to place tables in your content just like MS Word, just select your table size and insert your content.
This allows you to edit the table columns, rows, or even cells.
This button allows you to turn on or off the grid lines in between the table columns and rows.
This is where you can add special characters like you can with MS Word.
This simply allows you to add a line, also known as "Horizontal Rule"
This button allows you to make forms, it is unnecessary right now, but we will add a tutorial when it can be used.
This button will remove special formatting, if you used MS Word to copy over and you wanted to get rid of their formatting you can use that.
If you are familiar with HTML this button allows you edit the HTML Source directly.
This allows you to change your page formatting all in one simple page, instead of doing it in separate boxes. Works exactly like MS Word.
As of now you are only using the CSS template we have, which is the Grey Stripes and the page formatting. We will soon give you more choices in your background selection.
This allows you to change header type, size, and style.
This allows you to choose through a bunch of different fonts to find the one you like the best.
This allows you to change the size of your text.
This allows you to change the Boldness, Italics, and the Underlined letters in your content.
This allows you to change the alignment, Left, Center, Right, or Justified.
This allows you to make Numbered and Bulleted Lists.
This allows you to change indents, either five spaces forward, or five spaces back.
